(Junior) Support Engineer


Who are we

802 Networks is a “superspreader” of networking solutions. As a distributor, we distinguish ourselves in the market through our extensive knowledge and experience. This enables us to offer a wide range of services. We love technology and challenges and are therefore the ideal partner to bring complex projects to a successful conclusion.


Your function

The telephone rings just as you are waiting by the coffee machine. You make a dash to the telephone and your computer. A partner reports that the throughput of a radio link is not optimal. You log into the system and analyse the problem together with your support colleagues. You make a few adjustments after which the link is back to its initial performance. At your service!


A litte later, you receive a notification from the 24/7 monitoring system. 15 cameras are offline at a police station in the south of the country. You start analysing the issue, but realise the problem cannot be solved remotely.

You assist and brief the field engineers that are going on-site to replace a wireless unit. With your headset on and a full coffee mug, you rebuild the wireless link together with your colleagues on-site. Once again everything is up and running by noon. Nice work!


Saturday evening, the monitoring system sends out a notification that the connection of a hospital has been lost. Phones and internet no longer work on the second site. You are on call. You call up another colleague to tackle this problem together. Great, everything up and running!


What we expect from you

We are looking for an employee who sees solutions, not problems. Someone who goes the extra mile and has a huge interest in technology. Of course, you have a basic knowledge of networks and are eager to learn more. After all, you will soon be training to achieve the highest possible technical certification for all the products we distribute. We want to be: the best in our field.


You do not need to speak seven languages, but you have experience in communicating in French, Dutch and English.


Normal working hours are from 9 am to 5.30 pm, but we ask for flexibility.

Naturally, this daily loyalty requires an appropriate fee. Do you like to take 4 weeks of holiday at a time? That’s possible. You will come back with new experiences and recharged batteries.


Our company trips confirm that the team is very important to us: ballooning in Turkey, driving jeeps in Greece, sledding with dogs in Norway… These are all trips that we have been able to check off our bucket list.
